Paul Kharchenko is one of the founders of Lane of Trust, and his path has always been shaped by a simple conviction: when people lose their way, someone must walk beside them until hope returns. His faith and his life experiences formed a deep calling to support children and families who have been pushed into crisis, especially those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Inspired by the words from Isaiah 30:21, “This is the way. Walk in it,” I have always believed that even in the darkest moments, there is a way forward. For the children who lost their parents, for families who no longer know where to turn, my calling is to make sure they are not left alone. Through Lane of Trust, I work to build practical and reliable support inside Ukraine together with trusted partners, so that every child we reach feels seen, protected, and guided toward a safer future.
For me, Lane of Trust is not simply an organization. It is a responsibility — to bring direction where there is confusion, stability where there is fear, and hope where everything once seemed lost. Through this work, I strive to help children take their first steps again on a path that leads toward life.
